Position Purpose

The Senior Specialist, Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for managing corporate memberships, coordinating patient engagement activities, and analyzes stakeholder sentiments to ensure alignment with Infoway goals. They must maintain a comprehensive calendar of engagement activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate informed decision-making and integrate stakeholder feedback. Their efforts drive effective communication, relationship-building, and partnership development, contributing to the success of organizational initiatives. Continuously striving to enhance Infoway's impact and effectiveness in the digital health landscape, they strategically evaluate and adjust engagement strategies.

Major Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, Public Affairs & Operations, the Senior Specialist has the following responsibilities:  

  • Manage the coordination and administration of Infoway's corporate memberships, identifying opportunities for optimization and strategic alignment with other organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external patient engagement activities, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of strategic stakeholder engagement activities across Infoway to facilitate informed decision-making and leverage opportunities for advancement.
  • Monitor and analyze stakeholder sentiment, concerns, and priorities to inform engagement strategies and organizational decision-making.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communication and outreach efforts, including organizing meetings, events, and presentations.
  • Identify key stakeholders and cultivate and maintain relationships to support collaboration and partnership development.
  • Oversee governance for committees and sub-committees such as Pharmacy Advisory, Clinician Advisory, Opioid Advisory and Vendor Partner.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and related brainstorming in respective jurisdictions, supplying stakeholder lists, facilitating engagement and communications as necessary.
  • Facilitate annual review of progress achieved across PrescribeIT priority areas with National PrescribeIT Policy and Priorities Table (NPPPT).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate stakeholder feedback into organizational initiatives and projects.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement activities and adjust strategies as needed.

Education

  • Undergraduate Degree in related field with preference in political science, public administration, communications, and/or stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-7 years experience working in stakeholder engagement, communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing stakeholder engagement plans and corporate communication products.
  • Experience in managing corporate memberships and coordinating engagement activities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse stakeholders.
  • Relationship-building skills to establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the MS Office suite and client management information databases.
  • Experience in tracking communication activities.
  • Ability to think creatively, to work under pressure and recognise and respond to sensitive issues.
  • A bias towards “getting things done” and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities to on-time completion.
