Engaging with industry leaders who are at the forefront of developing innovative technological solutions.

Overview

One of the keys to realizing the vision of a more connected and collaborative health system is engaging with and convening industry leaders who are at the forefront of developing innovative technological solutions.

We are actively working with these stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem in which we operate and enhance the partnerships that drive our initiatives forward.

Industry Collaborative

Our Industry Collaborative is an initiative designed to foster meaningful partnerships between the public and private sectors and accelerate the development and adoption of innovative health solutions. The initiative also aims to create an avenue for digital health industry partners to learn about progress on interoperability and provide insights to support the effective implementation of Roadmap priorities.

The Industry Charter, a list of guiding principles created by the Industry Collaborative, articulates a shared vision for Connected Care and is intended to be embraced by Canada’s health technology partners, providers, and federal, provincial and territorial governments. To help stakeholders promote the Charter, we have developed a toolkit that helps simplify advocacy for interoperability and ensures consistent messaging across the health sector.

Vendor Innovation Program

The Vendor Innovation Program (VIP) is designed to accelerate the development and clinical implementation of real-world interoperability innovations that are aligned with the Shared Pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap. The program empowers selected vendors to develop and implement innovations that accelerate the adoption of interoperability.

The 2025 Vendor Innovation Program recipients are:
  • Ava Industries Ltd.
  • Intrahealth
  • OceanMD
  • Okaki Health Intelligence Inc.
  • Pentavere Research Group Inc.
  • ResolveHD
  • SRA Academy
  • Verto Inc.
Selected from more than 40 applications across the country, the 2025 VIP cohort reflects the breadth of Canada’s healthcare landscape, including solutions targeting primary care, acute care, and Indigenous and rural communities.

Early Implementer Program

The Early Implementer Program is a framework to support industry stakeholders in adopting Pan-Canadian standards. The program is currently focused on supporting the Patient Summary initiative via the PS-CA specification, but additional initiatives will be available in the future.
