Enabling a national and streamlined approach to testing and validating digital health standards.

What is Conformance?

Conformance is the process of testing and verifying that digital health solutions meet the requirements of pan-Canadian interoperability specifications. It ensures that systems can exchange health information consistently, securely, and reliably across solutions, settings, and care teams.

Conformance plays an essential role in advancing Connected Care by reducing fragmentation, improving data quality, and enabling trusted, seamless flow of information across the health ecosystem.

What is the Connected Care Conformance Platform?

The Connected Care Conformance Platform serves as a modern, collaborative environment for co-development, quality assurance, and validation of digital health and health data interoperability standards, supporting federal, provincial, territorial, industry and Indigenous partners in advancing trusted, standards-based solutions across Canada.

The Platform provides the technical foundation for our National Conformance Program and replaces fragmented, manual testing processes with a single, automated environment for verifying interoperability readiness. It strengthens confidence across Canada’s health ecosystem by providing a trusted mechanism to validate solutions against consistent national standards for data exchange.

If you are interested in registering for Platform access, please follow our user registration guide to get started.

Key Functions and Features

The Platform offers automated testing, validation frameworks, and real-time reporting that help vendors and jurisdictions demonstrate compliance with interoperability specifications. It provides testing capabilities for pan-Canadian health data exchange standards such as PS-CA, CA:eReC, HALO, CA:Core+, and more, and includes validator and simulator components that support extensible and scalable testing.

As the Platform evolves, additional capabilities such as enhanced user experience, a conformance case repository, comprehensive analytics, and integration with CI/CD pipelines will expand its value and support continuous conformance validation across the ecosystem.

Educational Webinars

We offer webinars to help users understand the Platform’s features, registration process, and onboarding steps. These sessions provide an overview of available testing capabilities and guide vendors and jurisdictions through next steps for participating in the Platform.
