Citizen Access to Personal Health Information: International Overview

October 30, 2020

November 19, 2020 | 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. ET

Citizens access to their personal health information (PHI) has become a common objective in many health care organizations and governments around the world. Countries are now realizing the benefits of their citizens having access to their PHI, including improved patient engagement and empowerment, more positive health outcomes and a more efficient health system. With the onset of COVID-19, access to information is now more important, with care more often delivered virtually and demand for services online, such as accessing COVID-19 test results.

To understand the deployment, availability and adoption of access to PHI by citizens, the Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP) invited participants from around the world to share the impact of citizen’s access to PHI in their countries. The report, which summarizes the findings, includes input from 22 nations and identifies some of the key drivers for providing citizen access to their personal health information and articulates key success factors for driving adoption.

During this webinar, we will be joined by GDHP collaborators from the Netherlands, Estonia and Canada and we will hear an overview about their citizen’s access to PHI in their jurisdiction, including different approaches and solutions.
