Investments in Diagnostic Imaging (DI) have resulted in reduced exam turn-around time, improved productivity for radiologists and the avoidance of thousands of unnecessary patient transfers for additional imaging each year. DI projects have also resulted in cumulative savings of more than $9 billion (cost savings and efficiencies) for Canadians and our health system since 2003.
