The Impacts of Interoperability and Information Sharing across Settings evaluation study examined how interoperability within the Interior Health Authority region in British Columbia impacted clinicians access to complete patient information for clinical encounters, care coordination and information sharing in both hospital and outpatient settings.
The results produced evidence supporting the need and desire for an interoperability solution, as well as identifying lessons learned and opportunities for future integration.
