Canada has a health access problem that technology is playing an increasing role in addressing. But as digital solutions are advanced it is imperative we do not perpetuate equity challenges inherent in the current system. This presentation is an opportunity to explore critical aspects of social determinants of health that may be amplified in a digital context. As Canadians access improved virtual care, including their electronic health record data, patient expertise will be essential in addressing digital divide and ensuring this evolution truly does benefit us all.
