Independent third-party evaluations of Digital Imaging (DI) systems (also known as PACS, for Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) were conducted in British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The report explores the impact of PACS investments on the Canadian health care system, based on the findings of these evaluations, as well as input from key informants and the associated literature.
