At Infoway, projects are funded within program investment envelopes (see Infoway’s 2012/2013 annual report for the allocation of investment funds across programs across all federal grants).

Infoway investments flow to sponsors based on results achieved. This is called a gated funding approach.

The projects list below shows projects funded from the 2007 and 2010 federal grants where Infoway co-invested with other organizations (the sponsors) to support deployment-related activities.

Please Note

In some cases, descriptions for related projects with the same lead organization have been combined. In other cases, projects may be split into more than one phase. Typically the first “planning” phase would include activities such as review of current and future state including user requirements, stakeholder engagement, detailed project planning and resource requirements, scan of possible solutions, change management and benefits evaluation plans, privacy reviews, and/or similar pre-deployment activities to ensure the success of deployment.

Description » This project will implement an ambulatory EMR solution in the ambulatory clinics at St Boniface Hospital and Cancer Care Manitoba. The HIS will access the iEHR web viewer (eChart) and will provide information to Data Delivery Services including clinical discharge summary, emergency visit summary, and in-patient admission notices. Nunavut iEHR-Teleradiology Project- Implementation

Description » The objective of this project is to build and deploy the basic infrastructure for iEHR-teleradiology in Nunavut in a phased approach. The first implementation will be a new, integrated and comprehensive system for the Qikiqtani General Hospital (QGH) in Iqaluit and rollout to the first four communities that are on the core business network and currently have adequate bandwidth.
