In Canada, patient access to their own health information online is gaining momentum. This webinar will provide an overview of leading Canadian examples, such as direct patient access to their laboratory results, and highlight patient expectations, experience and value from the 2015 SRDC report: Impacts of Direct Patient Access to Laboratory Results. The study examined the impact of providing patients with direct access to their lab results as soon as they are available. The webinar will also provide an overview of primary care physician perspectives from the study - through the lens of Infoway’s change management framework; and a practicing family physician from BC will also share personal practice perspectives.
Presenters:
- Mr. Chad Leaver, MSc, MBA, Canada Health Infoway, National Research & Evaluation Lead
- Ms. Keren Taylor-Hughes, MA, Canada Health Infoway, National Change Management Lead
