"We are very excited that Dr. Vaughan will be joining the Board as our new Chair,” Green said. “As Deputy Minister of Health for Nova Scotia, he introduced the first province-wide digital personal health record in Canada, and he is a champion of digital health innovation. We look forward to his guidance as we continue to pursue our vision of healthier Canadians through innovative digital health solutions.”
"Canada Health Infoway is critical to the evolution of health information technology in Canada,” Vaughan said. “I believe that digital health innovation can improve access to health services for all Canadians, and I look forward to working with Infoway’s Board, management and employees, as well as stakeholders across the country, to truly transform health care through innovation.”
“It has been an honour for me to serve as Chair of the Infoway Board since August 2010 and I am proud of the advancements that have been made in digital health during that time,” Scott said. “I am confident that under Dr. Vaughan’s very capable leadership, Infoway and its partners will continue to make progress that will benefit our health care system and improve the health, and lives, of all Canadians.”
