Patient Scholarships for the 2019 Infoway Partnership Conference

As part of our commitment to amplifying the patient voice, we are pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships to patients, caregivers, and family members to attend the 2019 Infoway Partnership Conference in Ottawa on November 12-13, 2019.

The presence and participation of patients will enrich the experience of all conference attendees, as well as empower and engage the patient attendees to be advocates in their communities.

Any patient, caregiver, or family member was eligible to apply using the online form before June 12. Applications could be completed in English or French. All scholarships have now been awarded.

After being screened against the selection criteria, the applications are scored by the conference's patient advisors, who collaborate to form a final set of applicants that includes a mix of experiences and backgrounds. Successful applicants demonstrate a knowledge of digital health and a history of patient engagement, community outreach and/or advocacy. They also demonstrate a strong desire and ability to make an impact at the conference itself, and in their communities with the knowledge and skills they gain.

Scholarship Details

Each patient scholarship includes:

  • Registration for the 2019 Infoway Partnership Conference;
  • Transportation to and from the Delta Ottawa City Centre hotel from the participant’s location within Canada;
  • Hotel accommodation at the Delta Ottawa City Centre hotel (if required); and
