Canada’s First Digital Health Week Celebrates Milestones and Engages Canadians to Think About Digital Health

Posted on November 10, 2014 by Michael Green

This month, Infoway is partnering with 18 leading healthcare organizations to launch Canada’s very first Digital Health Week, taking place November 10 to 14, 2014. We’ve seen profound progress in the implementation of digital health solutions in Canada, and the inaugural Digital Health Week is an opportunity to celebrate the positive impact that technology is having on improving health and healthcare for Canadians.

Together with our partners, we will start a conversation about the benefits of digital health and help to inspire further progress in improving the delivery of care across the country. The week will be celebrated in a series of announcements, a tweet chat, webinars and other activities. Full details of activities taking place during Digital Health Week are available at BetterHealthTogether.ca/Digital-Health-Week.

Every day, more and more Canadians and their clinicians are using digital health solutions to support care for their patients, themselves and their families. From something as simple as renewing your prescriptions online, or as significant as accessing electronic health records that speak for you when you can’t in emergency situations, the scope of digital health is broad. Digital Health Week will act as a platform to celebrate the progress we’ve made and to explore further options that are available for you.

We’re thrilled to take this time to celebrate the milestones of digital health in Canada and encourage you to join in the celebration! Visit BetterHealthTogether.ca/Digital-Health-Week to learn more about digital health and view planned activities for Digital Health Week.
