Driving access to information and care through digital health solutions is crucial to improving the patient experience and driving improved outcomes. Evidence shows patient-centred care is directly related to improved quality and safety, lower health care costs and the enhanced performance of providers. As well, Canadians who can access their health information report digital health improves their knowledge of their health, increases their confidence in their ability to manage their conditions and supports more informed discussions with their doctors.

Infoway’s ACCESS Health program will empower Canadians to better manage their health and strengthen their care teams by supporting digitally-enabled care and services. We will work toward a multi-jurisdiction service that incorporates current access channel investments (such as patient portals) and initiates new services designed to increase Canadians’ ability to access their health information on a device of their choice.
