Infoway Releases a PrescribeIT Request for Expression of Interest to Health IT industry

The REOI provides timelines and lays out opportunities for the industry to get involved and encourages advanced planning for innovative and collaborative submissions to future RFPs. Responses will help refine and improve subsequent Requests for Proposals, which will be made available on MERX.

“Canada Health Infoway is working with the provinces and territories to develop an e-prescribing service that will provide for the secure electronic transmission of a prescription from a prescriber to a patient’s pharmacy of choice,” said Michael Green, President and CEO of Infoway. “We encourage the health care industry and private sector partners to respond with creative and innovative proposals as we move towards enhanced patient safety and better health outcomes for Canadians.”
