Overview

Canada Health Infoway is working with Health Canada, the provinces and territories, and industry stakeholders to operate and maintain PrescribeIT®, a national e-prescribing service. PrescribeIT® enables prescribers to electronically transmit a prescription directly from an EMR or other prescribing system to the pharmacy management system (PMS) of a patient’s pharmacy of choice. To do so, PrescribeIT has established partnerships with EMR and PMS vendors that represent the majority of the Canadian marketplace, becoming one of the largest healthcare interoperable services across Canada.

Position Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Partner Management, who will be a key contributor to building and executing on PrescribeIT’s strategic plan with vendor partners. You will have the exciting opportunity to support ongoing partner governance (performance, relationship and risk management, strategy), ensure partner contractual relationships continue to align with PrescribeIT goals, conduct financial reporting for key activities and programs, and support partner programs throughout their life cycle.

Major Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are outlined in accordance with the stage of the vendor partners’ customer journey.

Overall Partner Governance

  • Supporting ongoing partner governance (performance, relationship and risk management, strategy), including issue escalation and management
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new partner-facing programs
  • Supporting internal partner governance and strategic planning
  • Supporting external partner engagements (planning, engagement, follow-up)
  • Financial governance, including ongoing management of program budgets, projections, supporting appropriate senior internal governance

Partner Awareness and Consideration

  • Completing initial intake/responding to inbound vendors interested in partnering with PrescribeIT
  • Conducting meetings with vendors to evaluate feasibility/opportunity to integrate with PrescribeIT (in line with PrescribeIT priorities)
  • Supporting internal and external engagements to understand market landscape to enable PrescribeIT entry into new healthcare settings or partner types as required

Partner Contract Management

  • Quarterbacking internal contract prioritization process to ensure existing Infoway legal capacity is fully aligned with PrescribeIT business objectives
  • Drafting required amendments or agreements based on business requirements
  • Engaging with partners and internal legal as required to finalize and execute contracts

Partner Development and Initial Deployment

  • Supporting consultations with internal SMEs to facilitate improvements to partner requirements, product design
  • Ensuring internal knowledge transfer to inform initial deployment planning
  • Supporting initial deployments and pilots as required

Ongoing Support and Maintenance

  • Supporting partners in staying up to date with new features and specifications, including working with partners to plan out development phases
  • Owning the end-to-end management of PrescribeIT customer feedback process including initial intake, feedback triage, internal or external engagements, analysis as well as overseeing production of customer feedback reports to partners
  • Supporting workflow excellence in partner solutions, including ensuring partner development can be tightly aligned to customer feedback through ongoing reporting and collaboration

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in business or healthcare-related field OR equivalent experience. Graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) OR demonstrated project management experience in the healthcare domain is an asset

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience supporting the development and implementation of systems in the healthcare domain in partnership with third-party vendors,
  • 3+ years experience working on digital health / interoperability initiatives
  • Experience in management of partner vendors from onboarding to project completion
  • Experience with budget ownership and financial reporting
  • Experience supporting drafting of contracts and contract negotiation is an asset
  • Experience working for or with EMR or Pharmacy Management System vendors is an asset
  • Experience working with or interacting with provincial or territorial government stakeholders is an asset
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time (when public health conditions allow)
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
