Executive Vice President, Virtual Care Programs
After joining Infoway in March 2019 to lead the Infoway Alliance initiative, Barry became Executive Vice President on April 6, 2020.
He is responsible for developing and implementing programs and services that will improve Canadians’ access to health information and digital services and tools, and improve provider communications. He also has responsibility for the Account Management team, which works with the jurisdictions to understand their needs and advance Infoway’s strategies.
Barry has a proven track record of success in the health information management and technology industry, where he held senior leadership positions at TELUS Health and IBM. After receiving his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Business, Management and Marketing from the University of Manitoba, Barry began a 30-plus year career at IBM Canada. He was the company’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Healthcare Industry for 20 years. Later, he led Public Sector Business Development and Sales at TELUS Health. He also served on the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) Health Board of Directors for six years.
