Jamie Bruce

Executive Vice President

Jamie Bruce joined Infoway on November 25, 2019, as the Executive Vice President, PrescribeIT®. Under his leadership, the PrescribeIT® team will build on the success of the initiative and continue to scale and expand Canada’s national e-prescribing service across the country.

Jamie brings a wide breadth of experience to Infoway, including extensive knowledge of health care and technology and the Canadian retail drug market. He has helped health care and technology enterprises grow and diversify. Most recently, he led Brainsparq, an investment and advisory firm. In prior positions, he led health care businesses and strategy offices for publicly traded companies such as George Weston Limited and Shoppers Drug Mart, where he was Senior Vice President. As a former partner at Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, Jamie worked closely with executive teams at some of the largest payers and providers in the North American market, to build and drive new lines of business and long-term growth.

Jamie’s team at Shoppers Drug Mart led the development and execution of the enterprise health care strategy, which included leading new acquisitions, working with the public sector and bringing new health offerings to Canadians. In that role, Jamie also led and expanded the electronic medical record division (QHR), while overseeing the launch of innovative offerings including electronic prescribing and telemedicine. In addition, he led the national provider portfolio consisting of a network of 650+ provider partners from coast to coast.

Jamie has an M.Sc. in Neuroscience from Western University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
