What is a Pre-Qualified Vendor?

Infoway has changed their definition and process for Pre-Qualified Vendors (PQV). Infoway has chosen to partner with selected firms who can provide contract resources across various disciplines (see the categories above) in a local market and/or a national level.

Will I have an opportunity to apply for contract positions if I am not a PQV?

Yes, contract opportunities will be posted on the Infoway website. Potential contract resources are invited to check Infoway's internet site regularly for advertised contract resource postings. Firms who do not have Pre-Qualified Vendor status may not be alerted to these positions, so you are encouraged to check our website frequently for new opportunities.

How do firms demonstrate interest?

Infoway does maintain a database of interested firms. Vendors are encouraged to register to indicate interest and to identify the categories of resources that your firm can supply. Registered firms will be notified when the pre-qualified process is refreshed.

For individuals interested in employment opportunities with Infoway, we invite you to submit your resume to our Human Resources Team.

What is the time frame for a registered vendor to become a PQV?

There will be an annual review process to assess the continued suitability of each selected vendor. Reviews may take place earlier, if Pre-Qualified Vendors in a specific region are not able to meet Infoway's business needs. All announcements concerning PQV reviews will be sent to registered vendors and posted on this site.

What is the process for a registered vendor to become a PQV?

When there is a need to replenish our list of Pre-Qualified Vendors, a Request for Term Agreement (RFTA) will be issued to registered vendors, and to existing PQV. Vendors will then have the opportunity to submit proposals. An evaluation team will then review proposals to potentially approve vendors to be part of the PQV listing for a specific region.

Selected vendors will sign a Term Agreement with Infoway, that will be effective for a period of 24 months. Vendors that are not selected will be advised by letter.

How will specific mandates be granted (called up)?

When Infoway has a request for specific contract resource(s), a Request For Availability (RFA) outlining the skills and experience required and the details of the assignment will be sent to selected PQVs in the relevant region. PQVs will have 3-5 days (or more if indicated in the RFA) to submit their candidates for the request.

In addition, after 24 to 48 hours, these same assignments will be posted on our site until the close date and vendors will have the opportunity to submit resources online.

If a suitable candidate is not identified during this period, Infoway reserves the right to continue recruiting efforts by all available means and channels. Resource(s) will be selected for each request in accordance with the candidate(s) ability to meet the criteria outlined in the mandate, interview results, rates, geographic location and any other requirements outlined in the RFA.
