Innovation and Adoption
Infoway's Innovation and Adoption investment program develops projects that demonstrate rapid deployment and uptake of innovative electronic health record (EHR) solutions in support of the national health care renewal priorities. It supports innovation in clinical practice and information technology with the intent of accelerating the deployment and adoption of EHR information systems.
Investment is targeted towards local and regional initiatives that demonstrate high clinical value and uptake, align with the national health care renewal priorities and advance Infoway's target of an interoperable EHR for 50% of Canadians by 2010. Wherever possible, solutions will be commercial off-the-shelf, replicable, and sustainable with the capability of full integration into an interoperable EHR.
