Collaboration is key to achieving Infoway's mission: accelerating the development of electronic health information systems across Canada which results in a better, safer, more cost-efficient healthcare system. To help make this vision a reality, Infoway is reaching out to you in the healthcare information technology industry.
Event overview:
These information sessions are for senior management with responsibility for marketing strategy, product or service management or directing future product and technology investments. Infoway's mandate is to achieve an Electronic Health Record for Canadians and includes investing in the following areas: Interoperable Electronic Health Records, Diagnostic Imaging Systems, Registries, Drug Information Systems, Laboratory Information Systems, Telehealth, Public Health Surveillance Systems and the related Infostructure to allow these systems to interoperate.
The objective of these meetings is to update the healthcare "Private Sector Community", on Infoway's mandate, business plan, and progress.
Infoway Background
Infoway's mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of compatible electronic health information systems. These systems provide healthcare professionals with rapid access to complete and accurate patient information, enabling better decisions about treatment and diagnosis. The result is a sustainable, more cost-efficient healthcare system offering improved patient safety and better quality of care. Infoway invests in Electronic Health Record initiatives and then shares the knowledge and experience gained with jurisdictions across Canada to speed implementation and reduce risk. Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit corporation whose members are the federal, provincial and territorial deputy ministers of health.
