Collaborating with the Private Sector
Canada Health Infoway: National Business Development Information Meetings for Healthcare Information Technology Solution Providers (May - June 2005)
Private Sector Information Session (7.4MB)
Infoway Background
Infoway's mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of compatible electronic health information systems. These systems provide healthcare professionals with rapid access to complete and accurate patient information, enabling better decisions about treatment and diagnosis. The result is a sustainable, more cost-efficient healthcare system offering improved patient safety and better quality of care. Infoway invests in Electronic Health Record initiatives and then shares the knowledge and experience gained with jurisdictions across Canada to speed implementation and reduce risk. Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit corporation whose members are the federal, provincial and territorial deputy ministers of health.
Event overview:
Collaboration is key to achieving Infoway's mission. To help make this vision a reality, Infoway is reaching out to you in the healthcare information technology industry. We cordially invite you to an information session about Infoway's investment strategy, long-term plans and ongoing initiatives. This opportunity for learning and discussion may lead to better alignment of your national business development strategy with Infoway's strategy and plans, resulting in significant mutual benefits.
These information sessions have been organized for Senior Business Development Managers and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) whose companies have offerings in the areas of Electronic Health Records Systems, Public Health Surveillance, Telehealth, Laboratory Information Systems, Diagnostic Imaging Systems, Drug Information Systems, Registries, and Infostructure and can contribute to Canada Health Infoway's Pan Canadian EHR mandate.
