Infoway Background
Infoway's mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of compatible electronic health information systems. These systems provide healthcare professionals with rapid access to complete and accurate patient information, enabling better decisions about treatment and diagnosis. The result is a sustainable, more cost-efficient healthcare system offering improved patient safety and better quality of care. Infoway invests in Electronic Health Record initiatives and then shares the knowledge and experience gained with jurisdictions across Canada to speed implementation and reduce risk. Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit corporation whose members are the federal, provincial and territorial deputy ministers of health.
Event overview:
Collaboration is key to achieving Infoway's mission. To help make this vision a reality, Infoway is planning another series of information sessions. The focus of these sessions will be different from previous sessions. They will provide an update on the extensive work that is underway in extension of the EHR Blueprint Architecture, Privacy & Security Architecture and Standards. There will also be a short update on Investment Program Activity at the beginning of session.
Given the focus above, the target audience for these sessions are Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Product / Development Managers, Architects, Analysts, etc, or anyone in your organization that directs your product development plans or provides services to healthcare customers involving architecture, maintenance of current applications, or development & integration services.
Collaborating partners:
Canada Health Infoway is producing these Private Sector meetings in collaboration with ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada), CHITTA (Canadian Healthcare Information Technology Trade Association) and AITS (Association de l'industrie des technologies de la santé).
